Teaching individual and small group guitar lessons to key stage 1 - 4 students in schools and at a teaching centre. Work also includes whole-class guitar to key stage 2 and 3 in guidance with the National Curriculum.

Lower primary guitar students gave a performance of 'Ode to Joy' at the end of term school summer concert. An audio file of their performance.

Arranged with the Head of Expressive Arts to work with a new student who was working towards his solo performance for component 1 of his GCSE Music examination. Due to Covid the student was behind in his preparation and had choosen a piece that given the time constraints was too far difficult for him due to the advanced performance techniques required. Worked with the student to choose another piece that was within his capabilities. We decided on the level 2 piece 'Summer of 69' by Bryan Adams.
Collaborated with Secondary Expressive Arts Team on GCSE/BTEC music, and offered demonstrations and workshops showcasing the stylistic techniques used by established performers from different genres.
Currently in rehearsals with the Secondary Expressive Arts Department for the show 'Little Shop of Horrors' due to be performed in June 2022. My role is playing guitar in the pit band and mentoring the student musicians who for some is their first show performance.

Guitar Lessons - Cross Curricular Links with Spanish
A small group of year 6 guitar students were learning to play the song 'Remember me' from the film Coco.
The students wanted to sing the song as well, so I tasked them with learning to sing one of the verses in Spanish (The film's original lanuage). The students with the collaboration of their Spanish teacher did this and performed the song at a school recital.
Guitar and Ukulele Recitals at School
School music recitals are a time when students can showcase their learning to parents and peers. As well as participating in the recitals students are tasked with reading an opening speech to the audience before the performances begins. The musicians are introduced to the stage by their fellow performers.
